Drivers 2016

The Golf Hot List 2016 Drivers are all about customization, with the new look sliding weights and interchangeable shaft options, every club can be personalized  and shaped for your golf swing.

The new Taylormade driver is currently being used on the PGA tour, Jason Day switched to use the new M1 Driver at the BMW Championships in late September 2015.Jason is using the 10.5-degree TaylorMade M1 driver (Mitsubishi Rayon KuroKage Silver TiNi 70X shaft). Now available is the Taylormade M2.

TAYLORMADE M2

The Taylormade M2 is built with a multi-material construction, the same as M1 which features an ultra-light, ultra-thin and high-strength with its 7 layer Carbon Composite Crown; unlocking exceptional distance and forgiveness for you, with the  weight lower and further back on the sole for a more efficient power transfer; giving golfers more ball speed.

The carbon crown allowed us to lower the CG without compromising aerodynamics to a driver that is HOT AND FORGIVING.  Hot Trajectory which has a low CG projection with a new Speed Pocket and exceptional aerodynamics generate a hot, high launch/low spin trajectory. The stock standard shaft is the very popular Fujikura Pro 60 in Regular or Ladies and with the choice of 9.5, 10.5 or High Launch loft at an initial launch price of $399.

TAYLORMADE M1 DRIVER

The Taylor Made new driver is called the M1, this will come standard with the Fujikura Pro 60 shaft, and will be retail on October 8th. The M1 delivers a crisp sound and feel because of specially positioned ribs on the underside of this crown. With the M1, personalizing each driver for your specific ball flight.

The Taylormade is doubling down on sliding weights used to tweak ball flight. One slider runs from heel to toe, which effects shot shape. Positioning the 15-gram weight in the heel creates draw bias, and so on. Placing a second 10-gram weight toward the back of the head adds dynamic loft for a higher flight while setting it closer to the face delivers a lower flight. A RRP of $429.

  1. I demoed the M1 and the sound is far from crisp, it is more of a muted, dead sound like a thud.
